Song of Arizona

Gabby Whittaker faces a bank loan he hasn't repaid for seven months, with $25,000 due in one week, threatening the Half-A-Chance Ranch and its mission to help homeless boys in Lodestone, Arizona. Amid the looming pressure, graduation week unfolds as alumni Roy Rogers arrives bearing presents that lift the boys' spirits and set a hopeful tone for the story.

King Blaine is pursued by the sheriff and mortally wounded. Before dying, he reveals he owns a Kansas City garage and offers it to Gabby to help pay off the loan, asking Roy to visit his stepdaughter Clare Summers and deliver a letter. The encounter plants the seeds for a fortune- or conflict-driven arc.

Roy travels to Clare Summers' club to deliver the message from King Blaine. He and Clare perform a duet, and Roy hands her a letter from King that mentions money King saved for Clare and Chip to share. The scene establishes Clare as a key potential beneficiary of the Blaine fortune.

Following King Blaine's death, two of his gangsters drop by Chip's world and insist that half of the money King had been sending Chip now belongs to them. Chip is drawn into a gang conflict over the supposed fortune.

Gabby, Roy, and their men ride to the ranch after a missing horse signals trouble, and a gunfight erupts with King's old gang. Two gang members slip away using Chip as a decoy, complicating Chip's role in the looming robbery.

Clare visits the Half-A-Chance Ranch and questions Chip about the money. Chip denies knowledge of any hoard and tries to keep the secret from Clare.

Chip later examines the King's packages and discovers the $25,000; he secretly gathers all of it and drops it off at Dolly Finnuccin's house with Gabby's note, intending to clear Gabby's name.

During a barn preparation for the party, Roy pulls Chip aside and gets him to admit he paid the money, recognizing that Gabby wouldn't want to accept dirty funds. Roy contemplates how to handle the situation.

As the next night’s party unfolds, Dolly Finnuccin and the sheriff confront Gabby to arrest him for paying King Blaine's money, but Chip confesses that he dropped off the money, clearing Gabby's name.

King Blaine's old gang reappears, steals the money from the barn, and flees. Roy and his men pursue the gang and manage to capture them.

With the captured gang providing a reward, Dolly forgives the loan on Half-A-Chance and funds a makeover for the ranch, restoring the charity's mission. Gabby is exonerated following the gang's capture.

To celebrate the resolution, Roy leads off a song, and Clare along with the boys join in for 'Song of Arizona.' The moment marks a hopeful reconciliation and the community's return to normal.
