Buster faces a dire financial situation when Judith, a bank representative, threatens to take his theater due to unpaid debts. This crisis forces Buster to come up with a desperate plan to save his beloved theater.

In a bid to attract attention and save his theater, Buster announces a singing contest with a prize of $1,000. However, an error by his assistant Miss Crawly leads to flyers proclaiming a grand prize of $100,000, sparking a frenzy among the town’s animals.

Animals from all over the city flock to Buster's auditions, each showcasing their unique talents and personal stories. Notable contestants include Rosita, Johnny, Ash, and Meena, who all bring their own struggles to the stage.

The audition process is not without its hurdles. Meena battles her stage fright and fails her audition, while Ash experiences heartbreak when her boyfriend Lance gets turned away, adding emotional weight to the competition.

With the flood ruining the theater, Judith repossesses it, leaving Buster heartbroken and homeless. Seeking refuge, he crashes at Eddie's house, facing the reality of his shattered dreams.

While attempting to start anew with a car wash, inspiration hits when Meena sings Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' amidst the theater's ruins. Her powerful voice ignites Buster's determination to reincarnate the show.

Buster organizes a final performance without the allure of prize money, inviting family and friends. The contestants come together, showcasing their talents and finding strength in their community.

As emotions run high, Rosita and Gunter perform 'Shake It Off', followed by Johnny's stunning rendition of 'I'm Still Standing', which reconciles him with his father. Each contestant shines in their own moment.
