Brian Godlock lives a fulfilling life in the idyllic town of Las Palomas, Texas, with his wife Saya and young son Taylor. The family enjoys their daily activities, creating cherished memories together.

On Christmas Eve in 2021, Brian and Taylor are outside riding a new bicycle. Their joyful moment is abruptly shattered when they fall victim to a drive-by shooting during a fierce gang war, resulting in the tragic death of young Taylor.

Overcome with anger and grief after losing his son, Brian embarks on a mission to hunt down the gangsters responsible for the shooting. His quest leads him to a violent confrontation with Playa, the gang leader, who shoots Brian, leaving him severely wounded.

Despite surviving an assassination attempt, Brian is left with significant damage to his vocal cords, making it hard for him to speak. As he recovers, the emotional weight of losing his son forces both him and Saya to grapple with their grief.

While Saya tries to support Brian during his recovery, his increasing obsession with vengeance drives him further away. Unable to handle the emotional turmoil, Saya ultimately decides to leave Brian, leading him to a deeper isolation.

In the year following the tragedy, Brian dedicates himself to intense physical training and self-defense to prepare for his revenge against those who took his son. He becomes more disciplined and focused, channeling his grief into training.

Brian meets with Detective Dennis Vassel under the pretense of seeking assistance with Taylor's case. Instead, he uses the meeting to gather intel on Playa's gang, furthering his obsession with vengeance while ignoring attempts from Saya to reconnect.

In a bid to gather more information, Brian abducts a gang member and tortures him for details about Playa’s operations. This act underscores Brian’s descent into violence and his resolve to avenge Taylor's death.

After extracting information from the gang member, Brian delivers a chilling Christmas card to Detective Vassel's home, which outlines his intentions to eliminate Playa and his gang. He includes evidence of their crimes, intensifying the impending conflict.

On Christmas Eve 2022, Brian embarks on a violent spree, systematically taking down members of Playa's gang. His actions are fueled by a thirst for retribution, leading to an escalating series of confrontations.

During a climactic confrontation, Brian finds himself face-to-face with Detective Vassel. Initially adversarial, they temporarily unite against Playa when they realize they share a common goal of bringing the gang to justice.

Their fragile alliance is quickly shattered when Playa's drug-addicted girlfriend ambushes them. In a brutal struggle, Brian and Vassel are injured, escalating the already violent scenario.

In a tense standoff with Playa's girlfriend, Brian hesitates to kill her, but she turns the moment into a tragic attack against him. This false sense of mercy proves to be a critical mistake during their confrontation.

Brian ultimately confronts Playa in a fierce shootout, both men fighting for their lives. Just as Playa is about to deal the fatal blow to Brian, Detective Vassel intervenes, ending the gang leader’s life.

As both men lay mortally wounded, Brian reflects on happier times spent with Taylor, filled with missed opportunities for a future together. Meanwhile, Saya discovers a heartfelt letter from Brian, filled with love and apologies, which she takes to Taylor's grave, symbolizing their enduring bond despite the tragedy.
