American student Tara and her friends arrive in Ireland to visit their local friend Jake. They plan to camp in the serene woodlands that surround a long-abandoned children's home, unaware of the dark events that will unfold.

While exploring the woods, Tara and the group collect psilocybin mushrooms intended for later consumption. In her excitement, Tara mistakenly consumes a death bell mushroom, leading to a severe seizure and mysterious hallucinations.

Around the campfire in the evening, Jake entertains the group by recounting a chilling ghost story about the nearby children's home. The story is about a vengeful monk who committed horrific acts, triggering Tara's premonitions of her friends' impending doom.

After an argument with his girlfriend and the group, aggressive jock Bluto consumes some of the hallucinogenic tea intended for everyone. His trip leads to a terrifying confrontation that results in his murder at the hands of the malevolent monk.

The next morning, the remaining group members are unfazed by Bluto's absence and decide to consume the mushroom tea. Under its psychoactive effects, they begin to lose their sense of direction in the woods, leading to chaotic separation.

As the group disperses, the three women, Tara, Holly, and Lisa, engage in petty arguments and ultimately become lost. Their discord leads them to an unfortunate encounter with local woodsmen, resulting in the violent murders of Holly and Lisa as foreseen by Tara.

Jake and Troy set off to find Tara after realizing she is missing. They eventually discover her near a riverbank and inform her of the plan to seek help at the abandoned children's home.

Upon investigating the abandoned property, Troy is suddenly attacked and killed by the rogue monk. Jake narrowly escapes by leaping from a high window but sustains a leg injury upon landing.

Tara finds Jake after his escape and they attempt to flee from the haunting presence of the monk. While resting due to his injury, tragedy strikes again as Jake is murdered, leaving Tara alone in the woods.

Tara awakens to the sound of a Garda helicopter hovering over the campsite. She is soon rescued and placed into an ambulance, seemingly the only survivor of the horrific events that transpired.

As Tara is being treated, her mobile phone rings, triggering a series of flashbacks. She comes to the horrifying realization that the death bell mushroom caused her to unknowingly murder all of her friends during her trances.

In a chilling turn of events, Tara's paranoia manifests as she holds a pair of bloody scissors in her hands. The film concludes with her fleeing into the woods, leaving viewers questioning her fate and sanity.
