A UNESCO translator assigned to catalogue the papers of a recently deceased writer discovers evidence of a covert network that shelters and aids former Nazis worldwide. When she encounters a young man sifting through the same documents, she initially suspects him of involvement, but he proves his innocence. Together they pursue the elusive ringleader of the organization.
