During her time in Syria, Klara witnesses a young boy detonating explosives hidden under his clothes, an act orchestrated by his father. This horrifying event profoundly affects Klara, leading to debilitating headaches and deep psychological scars.

After the traumatic incident in Syria, Klara returns home to Nice to live with her mother Maria and sister Tania. Here, she struggles to cope with her internal turmoil while also being involved in counter-terrorist operations under Opération Sentinelle.

Klara’s psychological suffering manifests through impulsive actions during her patrols. The painkillers prescribed for her migraines fail to provide relief, leading her to seek stronger medication through illicit means.
