Scooby-Doo! and the Reluctant Werewolf

Every year, the classic Hollywood monsters gather at Count Dracula's castle in Transylvania for the Monster Road Rally. Dracula and his wife Vanna Pira host the event and announce the prizes for the winner. The scene sets the stage for intrigue and competition as rival creatures prep for the race.

Dracula receives a postcard from the Wolfman stating he has retired to Florida and will not participate in any further races. His absence risks canceling the Rally if a replacement isn’t found. Dracula frets over the possibility of losing the competition and the prestige it brings.

An old spellbook reveals that the full moon will align to transform a human into a werewolf on three nights in a row, beginning the following night. Five centuries later, the next candidate is chosen by this ritual. Shaggy Rogers is revealed as the unwitting target, prompting a plan to seize him.

Dracula dispatches the Hunch Bunch—Brunch and Crunch—to America to locate Shaggy, turn him into a werewolf, and bring him back to the castle. Their mission marks the start of Dracula's scheme to control the upcoming race. The duo prepares to operate far from Transylvania to carry out the ritual.

Over the first two nights of the three-night window, the Hunch Bunch fail to expose Shaggy to moonlight or trigger the transformation. Their attempts are thwarted, keeping Shaggy in human form for now. Dracula watches nervously, realizing time is running short.

On the final night, the Hunch Bunch exposes Shaggy to moonlight by dropping the sunroof of his customized race car during a drive-in screening, triggering the transformation. Shaggy's hiccups cause him to alternate between human and werewolf, complicating the situation. Scooby and Googie react as the crowd notices a werewolf on the loose.

Shaggy and his friends flee the drive-in, now in werewolf form. The Hunch Bunch knocks them out with moon dust from their Bat-Copter and flies back to Transylvania, towing Shaggy's car. Dracula watches the flight with mounting confidence that his plan is succeeding.

Back at Dracula's castle, the Count reveals the purpose of turning Shaggy into a werewolf and offers a bargain: if Shaggy drives in the race and wins, Dracula will revert him to human and allow everyone to leave. Shaggy refuses to participate in Dracula's schemes, though Dracula remains persistent. The stakes of the deal heighten the tension around the upcoming race.

The gang is given lodgings and access to the track, where Shaggy pilots the Werewolf Wagon. Dracula and the Hunch Bunch attempt to rig the course with traps and sleep deprivation to derail him. Despite constant interference, Shaggy demonstrates skill and dogged determination as the race progresses.

With the finish line in sight, Dracula unleashes Genghis Kong to stop Shaggy, creating a major obstacle. Googie and Scrappy return in their own car to act as pit crew and assist Shaggy and Scooby. Their teamwork, along with the mishaps of rival racers, clears a path toward victory for Shaggy.

Googie and Scrappy rejoin in time to rescue Shaggy and Scooby from being crushed by the other racers, then help steer a safe route to the finish line. The pair's timely intervention, combined with Shaggy's perseverance, positions them for a winning outcome. The crowd's tension shifts as the end approaches.

Frustrated by constant failures, Dracula learns from Vanna Pira that the spellbook holds the key to turning the plan around. The gang steals the book and escapes Dracula's pursuit, first by car and then by plane as Dracula's weaponized gadgets close in. A thunderstorm erupts, and Dracula's plane is struck by lightning, sending him plunging toward the ocean while a shark circles.

Back home, Googie uses the spellbook to revert Shaggy to his human form. The gang settles in for a quiet night of horror movies and pizza, hoping for normalcy. The final shot shows Dracula and the Hunch Bunch vowing revenge, leaving the door open for further trouble, and ending the film on a cliffhanger.
