Scars of Dracula

Dracula's remains lie on a stone plinth in a secluded chamber of the castle. A large bat flies in, hovers over the plinth, and regurgitates blood onto the Count's remains. The blood interaction triggers a rapid resurrection, and Dracula is brought back to life within seconds.

Locals, enraged by another murder, rise with a priest's blessing and set fire to Dracula's castle. They return home to a grim discovery: every woman in the village has been slaughtered in the church by vampire bats. The assault marks the villagers' desperate bid for vengeance and foreshadows the Count's lingering danger.

Libertine Paul Carlson is falsely accused of rape and flees the Kleinenberg authorities by leaping into a driverless coach. He crashes through the border guard and stumbles into an inn, where a waitress named Julia lets him in before the innkeeper ejects him. His escape drags him toward the castle's dark fate.

In the forest, Paul finds the driverless coach and is startled when Klove—the Count's servant—takes the reins and drives it back to Dracula's castle. The unnerving ride returns him to the ominous residence where fate awaits.

Paul is welcomed by Dracula and a woman named Tania, who later reveals herself as the Count's mistress. He shares a dark liaison with Tania, but Dracula interrupts the affair and stabs Tania through the heart. Klove then dismembers Tania's body and dissolves it in a bath of acid.

Locked in a room high in the castle, Paul ties bed curtains to form a makeshift rope and descends toward a lower window. The line is abruptly withdrawn by Klove, leaving him trapped in Dracula's chamber once more.

Paul's brother Simon and his fiancée Sarah Framsen come seeking him after a maid directs them to the castle. Dracula casts an ominous interest in Sarah, but Klove, who has fallen in love with her, helps the couple escape by refusing to remove Sarah's crucifix.

Dracula punishes Klove's defiance by burning him with a red-hot cutlass for disobeying orders. This brutal turn foreshadows the growing danger inside Dracula's fortress and strains the loyalties within his ranks.

Simon and the priest press deeper into the castle but are betrayed when Klove leads them into a trap. The priest is killed by a vampire bat, and Simon is left trapped in the same doorless room with his brother, powerless to act.

Simon discovers Dracula sleeping in a coffin and attempts to strike, but the vampire's power reaches through his eyelids, causing Simon to collapse before he can act. When he recovers, Dracula has vanished, leaving the chamber in uneasy silence.

Simon later finds Paul's drained corpse impaled on a spike, a grim testament to Dracula's hunger. Looking out of the window, he is astonished to see the Count running up the castle wall outside, moving with inhuman speed like an insect.

Sarah reaches the battlements as a storm approaches and is confronted by Dracula, who uses a bat familiar to remove her crucifix. Klove arrives to aid Dracula but is overwhelmed and thrown from the battlements, leaving Sarah exposed yet defiant.

A rope let down by Klove gives Simon a chance to climb the outer wall and pursue Sarah as Dracula's control over the fortress tightens around them. The chase escalates as the forces of light and darkness converge at the fortress's edge.

In the climactic duel, Simon hurls a loose metal spike at Dracula, piercing him in the lower torso but not the heart. The spike is struck by lightning, Dracula bursts into flames, and his body topples from the battlements to burn on the ground.
