His performance earns him a place on the show and the attention of the studio audience. This marks the beginning of his elaborate plan to use the competition for larger aims.

During the competition, Balu falls for Mayuri, the show's anchor. He deliberately loses to a blind contestant whose mother needs prize money for an operation, earning Mayuri and the audience's respect. His act reveals his selflessness and deepens his attraction to Mayuri.

A social activist Sadashivaraya is murdered in a death that appears to be a car accident. Balu witnesses the incident and, to avoid exposure, pretends to remain blind. The incident sets off a chain of events that ties Balu to the investigation and Mayuri's circle.

Wishing to impress Mayuri, Balu moves closer to her home and learns she is Sadashivaraya's relative. He identifies the murder suspect as corporator Praveen Mahabala, shifting his role from witness to participant in the investigation.

A courtroom drama unfolds with Balu supported by public prosecutor Vittal Rao challenging Praveen Mahabala and his ally Chalapathi. The trial centers on the activist's murder and the future of the blind school. Legal strategy and public opinion become critical to the case.

Balu learns that Mayuri is engaged to Sadashivaraya's son Dhanraj, which causes him to step back from the courtroom fight. Mayuri then takes him to Drishti School for the Blind and helps him secure a job as a music teacher. This marks a shift from courtroom confrontation to social service.

As a music teacher, Balu starts teaching the students at Drishti and finds himself growing affectionate toward them. He becomes a favorite among the kids, gaining influence and empathy within the school community. The classroom becomes a new arena for his personal evolution.

Balu forms a bond with Nakshatra, a blind teacher at Drishti, and develops feelings for her. Their connection deepens as he mentors the students and shares experiences with Nakshatra. The relationship adds another layer to his motives beyond the courtroom case.

Balu tries to help Nakshatra regain her sight, but discovers her cornea has been damaged since birth, making restoration impossible. This setback reinforces his emotional investment in Nakshatra and in the broader goal of caring for the blind community. His efforts also influence his decisions about the case and his deception.

The trio deduce that Balu may be faking blindness and decide to spy on him to uncover the truth. They enlist Giri, the show's director with a grudge, who provides Balu with eyedrops that he uses to appear blind again. This manipulation deepens the deception and escalates the stakes.

From the courtroom, Balu reveals that Sadashivaraya, in his last words, named Chanti as Dhanraj. He explains Dhanraj's plan to build a shopping complex by demolishing the blind school and that the postmortem occurred at Dhanraj's hospital. Dhanraj, unable to face the truth, kills himself.

Balu points out that Praveen Mahabala is involved in Sadashivaraya's death and is a threat to the school's future. He urges Judge Pushpalatha to imprison Praveen and protect the students. The revelation shifts public opinion and strengthens the case against the corporator.

Praveen Mahabala kidnaps Nakshatra and drags Balu to his hideout with intent to kill him. A conversation between Raghuram and a junior lawyer reveals that Balu had steered people toward Praveen to uncover their plans, and that Balu had supplied the empty eyedrops to fake blindness, further complicating loyalties.

Balu defeats Praveen's henchmen and discovers that Nakshatra was not kidnapped but the situation used a voice recorder to fool him. The truth of the manipulation comes to light, and Balu stays committed to protecting Nakshatra and the school. The incident culminates in his continued pursuit of justice.

With the case resolved and the school secure, Balu and Nakshatra decide to start a life together. The film closes on their honeymoon, signaling a fresh start amid the chaos they endured. Their relationship provides a personal counterbalance to the courtroom battles and political intrigue.
