Reign of the Supermen

Six months ago, Superman bravely sacrificed his life while battling the monstrous Doomsday to save Earth. His departure left a profound impact on Metropolis, where unease began to spread as crime rates soared in the absence of its protector.

In the wake of Superman's absence, four self-proclaimed Supermen emerge, each aiming to claim his legacy. This leads to confusion among the citizens, as they struggle to understand who, if anyone, can fill the void left by Superman.

Amidst the chaos, Lois Lane dedicates herself to investigating these new Supermen. She meticulously gathers intelligence, trying to separate the truth from the fabrications surrounding the events in Metropolis.

Lex Luthor orchestrates a high-profile press conference to unveil his latest creation, Superboy, a genetically engineered clone. This announcement sends shockwaves through Metropolis as Lois uncovers the truth behind the deception, realizing the clone is not the real Superman.

The situation intensifies as Steel, Cyborg Superman, and the Eradicator crash the conference. This dramatic encounter escalates into a confrontation between the Supermen, leading to an unexpected showdown that leaves only two of them standing.

Unbeknownst to all, Kal-El has somehow survived and is recuperating in his Fortress of Solitude. While he grows stronger, the advanced technology within the fortress begins rejuvenating the Eradicator’s DNA.

The Justice League, joined by Superboy, is tasked with protecting the President during a crucial unveiling ceremony for the new Watchtower. However, the event is abruptly interrupted by an invasion of Parademons arriving through a boom tube portal.

In the ensuing chaos, with the League members presumed dead, Cyborg Superman seizes the moment to rescue the President. He declares himself the true Superman, further complicating the situation in Metropolis.

Frustration mounts for Lex Luthor as he orchestrates the horrific murder of Dr. Donovan, playing a pivotal role in the turmoil surrounding Superboy. This heinous act serves as a catalyst for escalating violence in Metropolis.

A violent confrontation ensues between the Eradicator and Steel, which culminates in Lois discovering the truth about the holographic deception surrounding Superman. This revelation adds another layer of complexity to the unfolding events.

A shocking revelation arises as it becomes clear that Cyborg Superman is actually Hank Henshaw, manipulated by Darkseid. Darkseid’s ultimate goal is to eliminate the Last Son of Krypton once and for all, creating an army to achieve this.

As Superman, Superboy, and Steel race back to Metropolis, Lex Luthor makes a bold move to rescue the Justice League from imminent destruction. Meanwhile, Darkseid continues to apply pressure on Henshaw, exploiting his guilt over past failures.

After a climactic battle, the Martian Manhunter masquerades as Superman to announce Clark Kent’s safe return. Meanwhile, Superboy is welcomed into the Kent family, setting the stage for new beginnings amid the aftermath of chaos.
