Venu takes the blame to protect Vidhya's family from social humiliation. After the wedding is called off, Venu sinks into deep depression and nearly crashes his car in a road accident. Nedumaran, a blind radio jockey, intervenes and saves him from danger. This encounter introduces Venu to Nedumaran's optimistic worldview and his loving marriage with Thamizhisai, which inspires Venu to find hope beyond his conventional marriage pursuits.

Venu befriends Guna, a reformed thief turned rickshaw driver who genuinely loves Gayathri. Guna explains he met her during a home break-in, fell in love, and has been trying to reform his life to win her over. When Gayathri shows hesitation about the arranged marriage due to family concerns, Venu encourages her to follow her heart and withdraws from the match, prioritizing her happiness over his own.

After eloping with her former partner Ramesh, Vidhya discovers he blinded a neighbor during an act of voyeurism and went to jail. She is left pregnant and living in poverty in Nagercoil. When Venu encounters her again, she is in severe distress. Venu's compassion drives him to help her, and he convinces her father Manikkavel to eventually accept her and her child.

When Vidhya goes into labor at the hospital, Venu pleads with Manikkavel to help. Manikkavel initially lashes out and refuses, still ashamed of her elopement and the scandal it caused. Venu chooses Ranjitha after witnessing her care for him during a mishap and hearing her open confession of feelings. Throughout his journey, Venu learns that genuine connection comes from compassion and patience rather than conventional timelines. His experiences helping Vidhya and observing Nedumaran's family teach him the value of empathy. In a defining moment, Venu calls his mother to share his decision to pursue a life with Ranjitha, which brings joy to both families.

Guna, also known as Gunasekhar, is a former thief who now works as a rickshaw driver. He met Gayathri during a home break-in and fell in love with her. Despite his criminal past, he attempts to reform and even wins a local race to prove himself worthy. When Gayathri remains hesitant due to family concerns, Venu supports their relationship, recognizing Guna's genuine transformation and honest intentions.
