Ralph Breaks the Internet

Ralph and Vanellope have shared a strong bond for six years, spending their evenings together in Litwak's Family Fun Center and Arcade. Ralph finds contentment in their routines, but Vanellope feels restricted by the monotony of her racing game, yearning for excitement.

In a bid to surprise Vanellope, Ralph secretly constructs a bonus race track for her. However, during a test of the track, their excitement leads to an unexpected glitch, ultimately breaking the game’s steering wheel.

With the manufacturer of *Sugar Rush* out of business, Mr. Litwak learns that replacing the steering wheel is too expensive. As a result, he decides to unplug the game, leaving Ralph and Vanellope's friends homeless and without a place to stay.

Determined to help Vanellope, Ralph connects with Fix-It Felix Jr. and subsequently decides to venture into the Internet through a newly installed Wi-Fi router. Their objective is to purchase a new steering wheel on eBay.

After successfully winning an eBay auction for the steering wheel, Ralph and Vanellope discover they must gather the money within 24 hours. To achieve this, they turn to Spamley, a pop-up ad agent, who offers them a risky job.

While on their mission, Ralph and Vanellope attempt to steal a car from *Slaughter Race*, an exhilarating and dangerous game run by the tough character Shank. During their escapade, they encounter Shank, who acknowledges Vanellope’s skills and suggests a potential partnership.

Ralph and Vanellope meet Yesss, who introduces them to BuzzzTube, a popular video-sharing platform. This opens up a new opportunity for Ralph to create viral videos, potentially generating the funds they need to save their home.

As Ralph's videos become a massive hit online, Vanellope dives deeper into Yesss's promotional activities. However, this newfound success leads Ralph to realize the bittersweet nature of their friendship as Vanellope grows more independent.

Vanellope visits a Disney fan site where she meets various Disney Princesses, who inspire her to address her feelings of restlessness. However, her joy is tempered as she confesses her desire to stay in *Slaughter Race* and embrace its unpredictability.

After the chaos unfolds, Vanellope mistakenly believes she is the cause of the disaster. Ralph, filled with guilt, admits his role in her trouble, leading to a heart-wrenching moment where Vanellope discards the medal she made for him.

Ralph, in a frenzied attempt to recover his medal, is overwhelmed by the Insecurity Virus, resulting in the creation of destructive clones that threaten the online universe. This escalating situation draws Ralph and Vanellope back together amidst the tumult.

In a dramatic confrontation with the clones, Ralph and Vanellope work alongside Yesss to navigate a solution using antivirus software. However, when the clones morph into a massive being, Vanellope selflessly steps in to help Ralph, illustrating the strength of their bond.

As Ralph confronts his insecurities and embraces his friendship with Vanellope, the clones dissolve, leading to a stabilizing Internet. Miraculously, Ralph is saved by the Disney Princesses, who represent the support he has come to cherish.

In a final act of compassion, Shank offers Vanellope the opportunity to stay in *Slaughter Race*. Ralph gives her half of his broken medal as a symbol of their enduring friendship, returning to the arcade with a new sense of independence while remaining connected to her.
