Remy Fernandes, a house maid, is seen praying in the servant quarters of Dr. Sachin Mahajan’s plush duplex flat in Mumbai. Carrying a cup of tea, Remy knocks on the room door of Ayesha, the 18-year-old daughter of Dr. Sachin. With no response, Remy enters the room to find Ayesha’s dead body on the bed. Horrified, she screams and calls for Dr. Sachin and the police. Dr. Sachin Mahajan says he doesn’t remember a thing from the previous night as he was drunk. Aarti, the mother, Dr. Aarti returns from Pune and is shocked by the news. Remy tells the police that the family’s other servant, Chetan, who has a criminal record, has also been missing since Ayesha’s murder. It is revealed that Ayesha was pregnant and had a boyfriend named Riyaz.

Early evidence pulls the investigation toward Dr. Sachin, and he is taken into judicial custody. The case then lands with the Central Bureau Investigation, where Officer Sunil Paraskar begins a fresh, more probing inquiry. Sunil Paraskar is not convinced by the initial findings and starts digging deeper, following a trail that exposes hidden tensions beneath the Mahajan household.

As Paraskar unfolds the layers, he learns that Sachin is having an affair with Brinda, a former actress who is married to Dr. Hansal, a colleague of Sachin. Hansal is aware of the affair, and the two are often seen together in a five-star hotel. Paraskar’s investigations intersect with another fearsome clue: Sachin and Brinda are sometimes seen with Ayesha and Riyaz at the same hotel. Sachin also warns Ayesha to end things with Riyaz, so the two teens drift apart, yet Riyaz continues to slip back into Ayesha’s life when her parents are away. Hansal, who lives across the Mahajan building, notices Riyaz entering the home one night and discreetly alerts Sachin. In a drunken, reckless moment, Sachin attacks Riyaz with a surgical knife, injuring his arm. To shield Riyaz, Ayesha hits her father, who collapses unconscious. The two then drag him to his room and pretend everything is normal as Riyaz slips away and Ayesha falls asleep.

Paraskar remains unconvinced that Sachin is the killer. Brinda hires a high-profile lawyer, and Sachin is released on bail. After the trial, Sachin tells Aarti he wants a divorce and checks into a hotel with Brinda. Paraskar tracks Riyaz down, but during questioning, Paraskar and Riyaz are attacked, and Riyaz is later found dead. The investigator also discovers that Chetan’s dead body is concealed within the Mahajan floorboards, followed by the murder of Sudhakar Mishra, a relative of Chetan. Paraskar then questions Remy and uncovers a crucial truth: Remy had previously given birth, contradicting her earlier claim of never having been in a relationship. A meeting with Remy’s mother reveals a photo of a younger Remy, and the pieces finally begin to fit.

At the hotel, Sachin’s body is discovered, and the local police conclude suicide, driven by guilt. Yet Paraskar remains doubtful and gathers everyone—Aarti, Remy, Brinda, Hansal, Riyaz’s parents, and the local officers—to the Mahajan house. He drops the final truth: Ayesha is not Aarti’s biological child but Remy’s daughter. Remy and Sachin had an affair years earlier, but social class barriers prevented them from marrying, so Sachin wed Aarti. However, Aarti’s infertility led them to adopt, with Sachin presenting Remy’s child as his own. He hires Remy as a full-time maid and nanny, and as Ayesha grows, Aarti notices the striking resemblance between her daughter and Remy—culminating in the revelation that ties the entire mystery together.
