Puff, Puff, Pass

The film opens with an over-the-top infomercial by Dick Dupre. Larry and Rico, two stoners living in a one-room apartment, decide to start a tiny classified ads business after watching it, and they repeatedly joke about ads for what and whether the ads themselves generate income.

Lance locks them out for being late on rent, leaving them stranded without access to cable. Desperate to watch the Shawshank Redemption marathon on TNT, Larry resolves to go to rehab as his bottom, and Rico joins after seeing a brochure boasting basic cable.

In rehab, the pair feel out of place among hard drug addicts and wary counselors. They discover the brochure was false and that the clinic offers only eight channels and no TNT. Their first night involves messing with junkies and both having a one-night stand with the women in rehab, after which they are kicked out.

They seek out Big Daddy, who thinks Larry and Rico are two guys Elise has set up to sell his expensive Indian Head pennies collection. He arranges a meeting with the buyer, the aspiring rapper Ice Killa, at a bus station. The coins are left behind in Larry's car, triggering a frantic chase.

They forget the coins in Larry's car and bolt from the bus station with Ice Killa hot on their heels, money in hand. Ice Killa, who fears dogs, is chased up a tree by Big Daddy's trained guard dog. The chaotic chase underscores how badly plans are going.

Back at Big Daddy's, Larry and Rico learn Elise and Ice Killa were actually trying to steal the coins. Big Daddy then offers them a role in his beachfront property investment in Nicaragua, turning their misadventure into an opportunity. They accept and start envisioning a new path.

At the airport, the duo runs into Dupre, whose infomercials were revealed as a scam. Dupre is now involved in investment ventures in Nicaragua, hitching his wagon to the same project as Big Daddy's crew. The encounter reframes Dupre from a punchline to a networking contact.

Larry and Rico sign on to Big Daddy's Nicaragua venture, trading their stoner antics for a legitimate investment plan. They join a new path that promises wealth through beachfront property and development. The two men begin to picture a future far removed from their old life.

The film returns to the infomercial world as a finale, with Dupre appearing alongside Larry and Rico in a new pitch. The trio frames the scam as a success, despite the chaotic road that led them there. The montage keeps the film's satire intact.

Back at the apartment, two new stoners, Jaleel White and Paulo Costanzo, are being told off by Lance for late rent. Larry and Rico then appear on a TV screen, announcing their new fortunes and Nicaragua connection. The new tenants applaud them, shouting Nicaragua in a victory cheer.

The TV moment crystallizes the shift from losers to fortune tellers, as the tenants hail the duo as brilliant and chant Nicaragua. The celebration resonates through the hallway, drawing curious looks from Lance and other neighbors. The tone blends triumph with a hint of lingering satire.
