A crazed hostage-taker believing he is Sun Wukong traps five children at a gas station. Kin-wah single-handedly takes down the psycho, risking a possible explosion. Although reprimanded for his reckless style, his bravery earns praise from higher-ups and he winds up enrolling in the B.O.B. with his friend Wai.

During a tactical research class, Kin-wah excels but interrupts instructor Jennifer Tang. She rebuts his earlier boast that he would surely make the shot in the gas station incident, planting seeds of doubt about his confidence. Kin-wah tries to court Jennifer, mixing ambition with romance.

In a split-team drill, Kin-wah and Wai face Popeye and He-Man. The former team wins, but both squads are reprimanded by head instructor Chiu for fairness, or lack thereof. The session underscores discipline as a core B.O.B. value and foreshadows tougher tests ahead.

Jennifer briefs the recruits about the I.B.S., an international crime syndicate of former Vietnam War soldiers. Kin-wah counters that these ex-soldiers excel at guerrilla warfare and that Hong Kong’s scale can still be tackled by confident agents. The team applauds his determination, reinforcing group morale.

Jennifer warns Kin-wah that his pride could jeopardize their mission, yet professional respect evolves into a romantic relationship. The budding romance adds personal stakes to Kin-wah’s mission and tests his balance between confidence and humility.

Chiu leads the B.O.B. on a hostage rescue in an abandoned building, where criminals are scattered across four rooms. Kin-wah volunteers to neutralize two rooms by himself to prevent a wider alert, enabling the team to secure other threats. The operation yields success, and the unit celebrates despite underlying misgivings.

Chiu reveals that the I.B.S. aims to assassinate the visiting politician Mr. King, who is sailing to China. The B.O.B. is assigned to protect him, triggering a high-stakes confrontation at sea. Tensions rise as the clock ticks toward the planned attack.

During the gunfight, a terrorist disguised as a priest fires on Mr. King. Kin-wah disobeys Chiu’s orders and pursues the attacker with Wai, who is killed in the exchange. Kin-wah is left to grapple with grief and the fragility of his confidence.

To confront his crisis of confidence, Chiu stages a one-on-one training using real bullets with himself playing a terrorist. Kin-wah fails to stay composed and questions his readiness for the I.B.S. threat. The setback triggers a renewed resolve to prove himself.

Chiu locates a village bunker believed to house I.B.S. members and orders the team to assault it. The group splits into A, B, and C teams, with Kin-wah placed in the C Team alongside Chiu to provide support if needed. The arrangement sets the stage for a decisive confrontation.

The I.B.S. ambushes A and B teams with heavy fire, forcing Kin-wah to rally and back up the frontline. He defies orders to retreat and presses the attack, displaying renewed courage under fire. The turn in momentum helps the B.O.B. gain the upper hand as the mission unfolds.

Kin-wah finally tracks down the terrorist who killed Wai and engages him in a brutal hand-to-hand duel. He then launches a rocket launcher strike on the fort and, after a fierce fight, finishes the villain with a grenade explosion. The climactic confrontation seals the squad's hard-fought victory.

The B.O.B. program culminates in graduation as Kin-wah proves himself through the mission’s testing trials. In the closing moment, he asks Jennifer to marry him, signaling a personal and professional victory. The film ends on a note of future hope for the couple and the force.
