Philip 'Philly' Fillmore, a 15-year-old boy, begins his summer in Albuquerque after his wealthy father departs for an extended business trip. Left in the care of the alluring French housekeeper and the family chauffeur, he grapples with the new dynamics of his household.

One evening, Phil sees Nicole Mallow and is commanded to close the door from the inside. He is astonished to witness her undressing, leading him to explore feelings he has never confronted before, but ultimately, his shock compels him to flee from the situation.

During the summer, Philly finds Nicole in an unexpected situation within his father's bathtub. She invites him in, and after much internal conflict, he reluctantly joins her, yet he chooses to keep on his boxers while navigating the overwhelming moment.

Lester, the family's chauffeur, devises a dark plan to manipulate Philly by leveraging Nicole’s immigration status. He plots for Nicole to seduce Philly, fake her death, and force him to conceal the supposed crime taking advantage of his wealth and innocence.

Philly receives a note that compels him to steal $10,000 from his father’s bank account in order to protect his secrets. This moment traps him deeper into the sinister web woven by Lester, heightening the sense of panic and obligation he feels.

Contrary to their initial plans, Nicole confides in Philly about her dire circumstances and Lester’s malevolent scheme. This revelation deepens their bond and solidifies Philly’s determination to confront Lester and protect Nicole.

Philly seeks the assistance of his tennis coach, who impersonates a detective to confront Lester and intimidate him. This clever ruse disrupts Lester's plans and leads him to panic, unwittingly accelerating his downfall.
