In the blazing summer of 1959, 14-year-old Priscilla Beaulieu finds herself captivated by the legendary Elvis Presley. While at a local diner near her father's military base in Germany, she is invited to a party featuring the rock star.

At the party, Priscilla encounters Elvis and is immediately enchanted by his charisma. During a private conversation, Elvis opens up about the deep sorrow he feels over his mother's recent passing, forging a connection with Priscilla.

As weeks go by, Priscilla becomes increasingly consumed with thoughts of Elvis, despite her parents' concerns over their age difference. Elvis charms Priscilla’s parents, promising to treat her with respect, which alleviates some of their worries.

When Elvis concludes his military service and heads back to the United States, Priscilla is left heartbroken and lost. Her mother tries to help her cope, encouraging her to find someone closer to her age.

Not long after his departure, Elvis reaches out to Priscilla, inviting her to spend the summer at his Graceland estate in Memphis. Despite her parents’ hesitations, Priscilla eagerly accepts the invitation.

Upon arriving in Memphis, Priscilla quickly bonds with the household staff and meets Elvis's beloved grandmother, affectionately known as 'Dodger.' She begins navigating the glamorous yet chaotic lifestyle surrounding Elvis.

Elvis encourages Priscilla to redefine her appearance, introducing her to new hairstyles and makeup styles. Her high-profile relationship brings new attention at her Catholic school, where she is viewed differently by her peers.

As Elvis's film career rises to new heights, Priscilla begins to feel sidelined and neglected. Suspicions of infidelity arise, particularly regarding Ann-Margret, leading to significant strain in their relationship.

The dynamic shifts as Elvis's behavior becomes more controlling, criticizing Priscilla's appearance and treating her dismissively at social events. Their relationship deteriorates further, culminating in arguments that leave Priscilla feeling trapped.

In 1967, after much turmoil, Elvis proposes to Priscilla, leading to their hasty marriage. As she becomes pregnant with their daughter, Lisa Marie, the challenges of domestic life and Elvis's substance abuse begin to take a toll.

As Elvis's frequent absences and allegations of infidelity wear on Priscilla, she makes the decision to live apart from him, seeking independence with their daughter in California. She finds solace in the company of her karate instructor, Mike Stone.

In 1973, after an uncomfortable encounter with Elvis during one of his performances, Priscilla resolves to leave him for good. This marks a turning point where she finally asserts her independence and begins the divorce process.

As Priscilla packs her belongings, she reflects on the life she shared with Elvis at Graceland. She drives away from their home amidst fans who are oblivious to her emotional struggles, signaling a poignant end to their once-grand romance.

With her past behind her, Priscilla embarks on a new journey, determined to carve a path for herself and her daughter. Leaving Elvis's fading empire behind represents her newfound strength and commitment to independence.
