Popeye's Revenge

Johnny is born with abnormally large, muscular forearms and a pronounced chin in a quiet coastal town in the UK. His peculiar features set him apart, making him the target of relentless bullying at school, where he often wears a sailor outfit to cope with his condition. His childhood is marked by social isolation and emotional pain due to his appearance.

Johnny endures constant bullying from classmates, which escalates when a bully hurts his friend. Feeling overwhelmed and pushed to his limits, Johnny snaps and kills one of his tormentors by strangulation. During the attack, Johnny's eyes also pop out of their sockets, highlighting his disturbed state.

To protect Johnny from the mounting anger of the townspeople, his parents hide him in their basement. While confined, Johnny receives comforting notes from an unseen friend slipping messages under the door, offering him some solace amidst his turmoil. The town quickly turns against him, deeming him a monster.

A mob of townsfolk, driven by fear and anger, sets the family's home on fire to eliminate Johnny, who is presumed to be inside. Johnny’s parents perish in the fire, while he seemingly escapes into a nearby lake, where he appears to drown and vanish. The town believes the nightmare is over, leaving Johnny presumed dead.

Years later, a new group of young adults including Tara, Dylan, and Donna inherit the now-rebuilt house. Unaware of its dark past, they plan to convert it into a summer camp, bringing life back to the once-tragic location. The new residents settle in, starting their plans for the property.

As the new group settles into the house, eerie phenomena and mysterious happenings start to occur. Members of the group begin to vanish under suspicious circumstances, creating an atmosphere of growing dread. The characters are initially hesitant to believe something supernatural or sinister is happening.

Johnny, now known as Popeye, emerges from the shadows filled with immense strength and a desire for vengeance. Dressed in his sailor attire, he begins a brutal killing spree targeting the intruders in his former home. His methods involve using nautical tools like anchors and ropes to commit murders.

Johnny’s sister Olive becomes his accomplice, assisting him in orchestrating the murders. Together, they terrorize the remaining survivors, adding a personal and disturbing element to the killings. Olive’s presence complicates the survivors’ efforts to escape or fight back.

Tara and Dylan confront Popeye and Olive in a desperate attempt to survive. In the climax, Olive is killed, and Tara manages to brutally dispatch Popeye with a lawn mower. This marks a significant attempt to end the violence and stop Popeye’s killing spree.

Despite being seemingly defeated, Popeye reemerges and attacks Tara in a final horrifying confrontation. This return indicates that the evil or curse associated with Johnny still persists, leaving the story on a tense and unresolved note. Tara fights for her life in this deadly encounter.
