Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie

Roo and Lumpy decide to capture the Gobloon because Pooh accidentally ate all the Halloween candy Rabbit had collected for trick-or-treating. With no candy left for their first Halloween, they hope to catch the Gobloon and wish for more sweets.

Earlier, the group discussed the legend that capturing the Gobloon grants its captor one wish.

The Gobloon is a legendary Halloween monster in the Hundred Acre Wood that appears each year to hunt and turn anyone it catches into a jaggedy jack-o'-lantern. However, if someone captures the Gobloon first, it will grant that person one wish.

Inside the Creepy Cave, Lumpy's lunchbox gets stuck on the rocks, and he becomes frightened that something is following them. Overwhelmed by fear, he wants to give up and return home rather than continue to the Gobloon's lair.

After Lumpy gets separated and trapped, Roo finds a Jack-o'-lantern that resembles Lumpy among the pumpkins. Assuming the Gobloon caught his friend, Roo believes Lumpy has been turned into a jaggedy lantern.

The encounter with the mysterious wheelbarrow figure earlier foreshadows the Jack-o'-lantern discovery.

The Gobloon doesn't grant Roo's wish because Lumpy is not actually trapped by the Gobloon, he's stuck in the trap that Roo and Lumpy set themselves. Since no real Gobloon was captured, the wish cannot be fulfilled.

When the group returns to the trap, they discover it was Lumpy inside, not the Gobloon.

After Roo's wish fails, Lumpy hears Roo's voice calling through a loud thunderclap that muffles the sound. Lumpy manages to break free from the trap mechanism on his own and rushes out to reunite with Roo and their friends.

The trap was originally set by Roo and Lumpy to catch the Gobloon, making its failure ironic.

Kanga explains that she did carve a Jack-o'-lantern for Lumpy but believes she dropped it while carrying the pumpkins. The Jack-o'-lantern Roo found earlier, which he thought looked like Lumpy, turns out to be the one Kanga dropped.

Roo's discovery of the Lumpy-like Jack-o'-lantern creates the mystery that is resolved at the party.

When Lumpy loses his nerve at the Tree of Terror, Roo tells him the story of Piglet from Boo to You Too! Winnie the Pooh, where Piglet faced his fears and found courage. This inspires Lumpy to overcome his fear and help set the trap for the Gobloon.

The reference to Piglet's bravery connects to the film's themes about overcoming fear.
