An outbreak of a deadly bacterium known as M‑3 causes victims to die in excruciating pain from violent body spasms. A woman, unknowingly a carrier, escapes from the hospital and goes on the run, inadvertently contaminating people she meets and even fast‑food supplies. Unaware that she also harbors a possible cure, her frantic flight spreads the plague further.
