On a sun-drenched Hawaiian island, a team led by Professor Lovegrove studies eggs from two gigantic piranha-anaconda hybrids. When one of the serpents decimates the lab, Lovegrove narrowly escapes into the jungle, while the remaining scientists are killed. The remote setting heightens the tension as the island shifts from scientific curiosity to survival drama.
Meanwhile, a film crew is filming a slasher movie on the same island. Director Milo, the lead actress Kimmy Weston, scriptwriter Rose, her stuntman boyfriend Jack, and pyrotech expert Gunner are pulled into real danger when they are captured by criminals led by Pike and his girlfriend Talia. They are held for ransom in an abandoned mill, along with Lovegrove, whom the criminals had spotted wandering the jungle. The situation quickly escalates from a melodrama to a desperate breakout, as the hostages realize their odds hinge on courage, quick thinking, and teamwork.
The escape plan unfolds in tense, shifting gears. [Milo] and the others break free as [Jack] and [Gunner] lead a counterstrike, methodically taking out several of the criminals before setting Gunner’s explosives around the mill as a diversion to rescue the others. During the chaos, Milo seizes a gun and stays behind for a moment as a distraction, buying time for the group to reach safety. The tension peaks as the fugitives regroup and push toward a car, hoping for a quick getaway.
But the danger is far from over. A colossal green piranhaconda arrives, tearing through the perimeter and claiming [Talia] in a brutal strike, a savage reminder that there is no safety on this island. Gunner’s plan to create a window for escape collapses when a stray bullet ends his life just as the group closes in on a path to relative safety. [Jack], [Rose], Lovegrove, and Kimmy press onward, driving away with a sense of fragile hope while being chased by Pike through winding jungle roads.
On the road, they encounter one of the two enormous snakes blocking their path. Pike fires an anti-tank rocket at the car, forcing Jack to swerve; the missile instead strikes the snake, ripping away its lower jaw and triggering a frenzy from the larger yellow snake drawn to the blood. The two serpents fight among themselves, leaving the crew a slim chance to slip away. The fugitives soon run out of gas and head toward a marina, hoping to find a working vessel to outrun the nightmare.
Back at the mill, Milo escapes and stumbles upon a girl whose fiancé was previously killed by the snakes. They discover the nest of eggs, and the girl begins destroying them, provoking the guardian serpent to return with a ravenous ferocity—the kind of retaliation that makes every moment feel perilously close to fatal.
At the marina, the survivors find a working boat, but Jack’s plan to lure the remaining snake into the explosives-filled car tests their nerves. The criminals arrive in force, followed by another green snake that overwhelms the cadre of attackers, destroying Pike and the others in a brutal show of power. Kimmy races into the car to grab the detonator, but the snake strikes again, cutting her life short before she can trigger the explosive.
Injured but still determined, Jack ensures Rose and Lovegrove reach the boat while he stays behind to create a distraction for the pursuing monster. On the water, Rose discovers Lovegrove is carrying an egg belonging to the serpents, the very reason the creature has hunted them since the jungle first claimed their colleagues. The chase goes underwater as the snake pursues the boat, and Rose makes a heartbreaking choice to push Lovegrove off the vessel, where he is consumed.
Roaring onward, Rose makes shore and reunites with Jack. He attaches an explosive to the egg container and they lure the yellow snake toward a waterfall, tossing the container into the serpent’s mouth before the explosion detonates. It seems like a hard-won victory, and for a moment, the couple dares to believe they’ve escaped. But in a cruel twist, a second snake appears and consumes them both, sealing a brutal end to the ordeal and bringing the film to an eerie close.
This story blends science, danger, and cinematic fiction, turning a tropical paradise into a battleground where a handful of survivors must outwit enormous, preternatural predators while navigating betrayals, loyalties, and the high stakes of survival. The island remains a silent witness to the chaos, its beauty masked by the lethal theater playing out among the trees, water, and abandoned milling walls.
