Pennies from Heaven

In prison, the troubadour Larry Poole is drawn into a bold request from inmate Hart, who is headed to the electric chair. Hart asks Larry to deliver a letter to a family called Smith near Middletown, New Jersey. The letter is said to hold a key and reveal that the condemned man had unintentionally killed Patsy's father, offering his old house and hideout as atonement.
