Out-of-Sync

Crash and Nut break into Jason St. Julian's apartment while he sleeps to collect a debt. Since Jason has no money on hand, they leave him with a week to repay. The intrusion marks the start of a dangerous chain of events that pulls him into the underworld.

During an underground party, Jason crosses paths with Danny Simon and his girlfriend Monica. Danny pressures him to DJ at his club, but Jason refuses because Danny had once sent him to jail. The encounter plants seeds for a dangerous agreement.

The party is shut down by the police and Jason is arrested. In interrogation, crooked cop Marcus Caldwell pressures him into DJing for Danny in exchange for his freedom. The deal ties Jason to Danny's world and its risks.

Jason starts DJing at Danny's club and quickly flirts with Monica, triggering Danny's threat that he won't tolerate anything between them. To protect himself, Jason and Monica hatch a plan to steal $400,000 from Danny by making it look like a robbery. The move uses their romantic chemistry to disguise the heist.

Jason and Monica execute the theft, escaping with the cash and celebrating at a motel. They drink champagne, toss the money in the air, and make love, convinced their plan has succeeded. But the stolen money will soon pull them into more danger.

While Jason sleeps, Monica grabs the money and flies to Cancun with it. Caldwell berates Jason for letting Monica run with the loot and orders him to recover it or face consequences. The situation tightens as the clock runs out.

Danny's goons locate Jason's ally Frank at his apartment and brutally beat him when he refuses to reveal Jason's whereabouts. Meanwhile, Jason searches for Monica, determined to reclaim the stash and end her flight.

Jason tracks Monica to her hotel in Cancun, follows her to her room, and retrieves the money. She pulls a gun, but Jason disarms her; in a tense moment, he reveals that Danny killed her sister to justify his actions.

Danny and Shorty confront Jason at Danny's office and a tense exchange erupts into violence. Shorty pulls his gun, but Jason reminds him that the money remains hidden. Caldwell arrives, pushing the situation toward a brutal shootout.

A gunfight erupts and Danny and Shorty are killed; Caldwell is wounded and forces Jason back to the club. At the club, a video is shown revealing Caldwell killed Danny and Shorty. Police arrive soon after and Caldwell is arrested.

Jason has paid off his debt with Crash and Nut. They tell him the deal was 'just business' and warn that playoffs are starting, hinting at continued danger. Nut cautions Jason to be careful where his money came from.

Jason speaks with Quincy, who wishes him well but cautions him to be careful. Jason announces he is heading back to New York, signaling the end of this chapter. He drives away toward New York, leaving his troubles behind for the next chapter of his life.
