OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies

The film opens in 1945 Berlin, where OSS agent Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath and his partner Jack Jefferson capture a Nazi aircraft. They successfully recover stolen V2 plans, marking a heroic moment against tyranny.

Years later in Rome, de La Bath meets the enigmatic Princess Al Tarouk from Egypt. She entrusts him with an envelope of mysterious photographs to deliver to his superiors in Paris, hinting at deeper intrigue.

Upon arriving in Paris, de La Bath learns of his friend Jack's tragic death. Through poignant flashbacks, he reflects on their bond, setting the emotional tone for his next mission.

De La Bath is dispatched to Cairo to investigate the mysterious disappearances of an OSS agent and a Soviet arms-laden cargo ship. The brewing Suez Crisis adds to the tension, complicating his mission.

Adopting the guise of a poultry wholesaler, de La Bath navigates a web of deceit in Cairo. With the help of his contact Larmina, he attempts to unravel the mystery surrounding Jack's disappearance.

At an embassy party, de La Bath meets influential livestock tycoons through Larmina. The event turns deadly when a British spy is assassinated, revealing the tension and danger around de La Bath.

Disturbed by the muezzin's call to prayer, de La Bath storms a mosque and takes over the microphone, inciting anger among religious fanatics. His actions provoke a call to revolt, escalating the local tensions.

Larmina’s growing disapproval of de La Bath leads her to betray him, conspiring with the Eagles of Keops. Captured and beaten by his captors, de La Bath is thrown into the Suez Canal but manages to escape.

As de La Bath investigates further, he is ambushed by Setine, a cunning Russian spy, at a steam bath. Increasingly suspicious of the spy's intentions, de La Bath devises a plan to protect himself.

De La Bath finds himself in a trap set by Moeller, a Nazi sympathizer, leading him to a secret stronghold within the ancient pyramid. Using his resourcefulness, he outsmarts his captors in a daring escape.

De La Bath confronts Larmina, finally revealing the connections between the Eagles and her father's death. This breakthrough helps regain her trust as they formulate a plan to counter the impending threat.

Larmina uncovers that the Imam has been negotiating to purchase the missing arms shipment for the Eagles. With their new information, they prepare to intervene at the fishing dock to prevent an arms deal.

At the dock, a startling twist occurs when Jack, believed dead, reveals himself as the murderer behind the British spy. He has been secretly trafficking arms, leading to accusations of betrayal from Al Tarouk.

A fierce struggle ensues, leading to Jack's death amidst chaos and betrayal. Larmina acts quickly to incapacitate the Imam, while de La Bath reflects on his complicated friendship with Jack during the turmoil.

With the immediate threats neutralized, de La Bath and Larmina share a passionate kiss. Back in Paris, his superiors commend his success, hinting at new challenges awaiting them in Iran.
