Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy

Kim Dok-ja, on his last day as a contract worker at Minosoft, finishes the web novel's final chapter. He reads that Joong-hyuk survives alone after everyone else dies, which leaves him disappointed. He writes a critical review to the author tls123, hoping for a different ending that gives humanity a chance.

While riding the subway home with his colleague Sang-ah, Dok-ja receives a message from the author tls123 suggesting he write a new ending himself. The message sparks a sense that Dok-ja might influence events beyond the pages of TWSA. The mood shifts from frustration to reluctant determination.

At 7:00 p.m., the train halts as Bi-hyeong announces that humanity must face scenarios imposed by constellations. The command requires killing one or more living beings to survive. Panic begins to spread as passengers realize the danger mirrors the novel's events.

Realizing the scenario mirrors the novel's first episode, Dok-ja snatches a small insect from Lee Gil-yeong's box and kills it to avoid immediate danger. His action triggers panic and violence, even as he intends to help others. By the end of the episode, only Dok-ja, Sang-ah, Gil-yeong, and fourteen others remain.

During the chaos, Joong-hyuk refuses an alliance and betrays Dok-ja by throwing him off a bridge. Dok-ja falls into the water and is swallowed by an ichthyosaur. Inside the beast, Dok-ja begins to bargain for his survival with Bi-hyeong.

Inside the ichthyosaur, Dok-ja strikes a deal with Bi-hyeong to earn coins and uses thorns from the dokkaebi shop to defeat the monster. He trades the ichthyosaur's nucleus for a rare item, the Ether of Faith, setting up a powerful resource for later battles.

After a stop at a convenience store, Dok-ja saves Jeong Hui-won, a minor character who would have died in the original story. They regroup with Sang-ah, Hyeon-seong, and Gil-yeong at Geumho Station, preparing for the next test of survival.

The group faces a daily coin fee to survive within limited green zones. Dok-ja's group uncovers that In-ho and his men have been killing others to collect coins, exposing a web of manipulation and corruption. The tension rises as the true cost of survival becomes clear.

A Ground Rat attacks and Sang-ah is kidnapped, forcing Dok-ja to act quickly. Dok-ja uses White Star Pure Energy to defeat the monster and rescue her and Hyeon-seong, showing they can rely on each other despite the brutal rules around them.

The group gains new weapons, including Dok-ja's broken sword 'Broken Faith,' which needs the Ether of Faith to become complete. To avoid suspicion, he keeps his supposed prophetic powers hidden while outlining a plan to prevent Joong-hyuk’s death at Chungmu-ro.

The final Geumho monster is actually In-ho, who has sacrificed his humanity to the constellations. He crosses into Chungmu-ro but is killed at the last second by Ji-hye, Joong-hyuk's apprentice, sparing Dok-ja's group from his control.

Survivors enter rounds of green zones, and Dok-ja discovers a hidden bonus zone that he gives to Gil-yeong. He then consumes a crystal from a Ground Rat and is pulled into an Illusory Prison, where he relives a painful high school memory of bullying and loss. The memory hardens his resolve to fight alongside his comrades.

Inside the Illusory Prison, Joong-hyuk speaks through a Dream Conversation, challenging Dok-ja's idealistic hopes for a shared ending. He explains how loss hardened him and that trusting others is dangerous. Dok-ja reconsiders his stance and resolves to fight the Fire Dragon with his comrades.

Dok-ja trades the ichthyosaur nucleus for the Ether of Faith and merges it with Broken Faith to create an Attribute Weapon. He and the team attack the Fire Dragon, Joong-hyuk dies in the attempt, and Dok-ja revives him using the King of No Killing, saving the world.

In a mid-credits scene, Han Myeong-oh reveals that Geumho has been destroyed and all survivors except him are dead. A distant train sound hints at further danger as the group prepares for the next scenario.
