To keep the sport alive, fighters ride from town to town across Brazil, facing off against rough crowds and unpredictable locals. Aluísio Li, Edmilson Filho, works quietly in a bakery run by Seu Zé, a kindly figure in Quixadá. He nourishes a fascination with Chinese culture and kung fu cinema, and he dresses the part of a Shaolin disciple, which makes him a gentle misfit in his sleepy town. There, a supposed kung fu master named Wilson—played by Falcão—offers to train him in the ancient discipline. The promise of real technique, discipline, and recognition tempts Aluísio, and he travels with Piolho, Igor Jansen, to learn the art. After a brief, intense training, the Shaolin persona feels real enough to give him a moment of validation: he graduates in the eyes of his new mentor and returns to Quixadá as a strengthened figure, a beacon of possibility for those who once doubted him.

Without a video player at home, he resolves to reclaim one from Rossivaldo’s house, only to be caught and arrested in the act.

When the day of the fight finally arrives, the local crowd anxiously awaits a match that seems doomed to fail without its star. Rossivaldo, fearing the impact on his campaign, presses for Aluísio’s release so the fight can go on and the election narrative can survive. In a long, grueling contest, Aluísio Li manages to overcome Toni Tora Pleura, proving his grit in a brutal, laborious struggle. His victory carries more than a personal triumph; it catalyzes a new beginning. With the prize won, he establishes the Academia de Luta Irmãos Gêmeos de Parte de Pai, a fight academy in Quixadá that embodies his dream and marks a new chapter for the town’s fighters, their craft, and their community.
