Nuvve Kavali

Tarun and Madhu are born on the same day in the same hospital. Their parents are college friends and neighbors, forming a tight-knit bond from the start. They grow up as inseparable companions who are treated as a unit by everyone around them.

Tarun and Madhu attend the same college and remain in the same class, known by everyone as simply friends. Varsha, who secretly crushes on Tarun, notices his closeness to Madhu and questions his feelings. Tarun denies anything beyond friendship, though his eyes reveal otherwise.

Prakash, a talented singer, develops feelings for Madhu when she spontaneously sings with him at a college function. He later proposes to her, setting the stage for a love triangle between friends. Madhu remains unsure how to respond as their group dynamics shift.

They travel to Bangalore for inter-college competitions, marking their first extended separation as a group. Tarun misses Madhu deeply and begins to understand that his feelings may run deeper than friendship. The distance intensifies his inner confusion.

During the Bangalore trip, Tarun confronts the growing ache of missing Madhu and starts to realize he loves her. His maid Rukku teases him, nudging him toward acknowledging his true feelings. The seed of romantic love takes root in his mind.

When Madhu returns, Tarun buys a gift and a note to express himself but hesitates to reveal his feelings openly. He asks her to simply be honest about Prakash's proposal, while keeping the drawer with the card closed to avoid suspicion. The tension between friendship and love becomes more pronounced.

Tarun witnesses a girl denouncing a man who proposes, arguing that 'friends with benefits' are shallow. The moment makes him wary that Madhu may reject a declaration of love. He resolves not to risk their friendship by confessing his feelings.

Madhu returns from Bangalore and tells Tarun that Prakash has proposed to her. She asks for his advice on what to say, and Tarun urges her to consider Prakash's offer if she truly likes him. He also instructs her not to open the drawer that contains his hidden card, concealing his own feelings.

Madhu eventually agrees to Prakash's proposal as marriage arrangements begin to move forward. However, the closeness she shares with Tarun creates friction, and Prakash dislikes this bond. The family pushes ahead with the engagement despite Madhu's unease.

Prakash's grandmother arrives to finalize the wedding date, and the families set a plan for Madhu to leave for the USA after marriage. The sense of an inevitable separation between Madhu and Tarun grows heavier. The pressure of tradition weighs on all involved.

Tarun informs that he will be away for a basketball match out of state and cannot attend the marriage. His parents try to persuade him to stay, but he remains torn between his duty and his love for Madhu. The absence of Tarun at the wedding fuels the emotional tension.

On the way to the station, Madhu and Tarun recall their childhood and the depth of their bond. Madhu weeps as Tarun hesitates to leave, and their parents arrive to confront the situation. They tell the couple that what they feel is not wrong and that Madhu's engagement should be canceled.

The parents confirm that Madhu's engagement to Prakash will be canceled, freeing the couple to choose their own path. Prakash's plans to leave with Madhu dissolve, and Tarun and Madhu are given space to explore their relationship. The film closes with a renewed sense of possibility for their future together.
