In this unfamiliar environment, he slowly forms a fragile bond with a classmate named Divya, whose warmth gradually pulls him out of his shell. Their early friendship blossoms into something deeper for him, though Divya keeps him at a friendly distance, making it clear that her heart is elsewhere. Yet Vinod remains unable to sever the growing pull he feels toward her, even as he discovers that Divya’s affections are directed toward another classmate, Aadi.

Divya’s father learns of her feelings and erupts in anger, imprisoning her at home to halt the relationship. Vinod, ever resourceful and persistent, finds a pretext to enter her world under the guise of securing used clothes. Compelled by compassion and a quiet charm, he is allowed in, and in that moment he seizes the opportunity to pull Divya away. When Vinod returns, a crisis erupts: he lashes out with violence, firing at a police constable and forcing the intruders to retreat from their rough sanctuary. He manages to outmaneuver the police inspector and Aadi, and, with Divya in tow, returns to their original place of retreat.

Divya begins to recognize the danger beneath Vinod’s restraint—the “wolf in sheep’s clothing” she is forced to confront. Yet she cannot bring herself to reject him completely; she tells him that she values him as a friend and that she cannot accept him as a life partner. Meanwhile, Aadi regains consciousness and engages Vinod in a brutal confrontation, disdaining what he sees as Vinod’s underdog bravado. The fight escalates into a desperate clash of wills, pushing all three to the edge of a cliff.

On the precipice, Divya clings to a tree bark as Vinod and Aadi slip, each of them fighting to keep hold of her. The moment of truth arrives as Divya weighs her options and must choose between her boyfriend and her friend. Despite Aadi’s pleas, she cannot bring herself to kill Vinod.
