One year after cleverly outsmarting the FBI, the remaining members of the Four Horsemen—J. Daniel Atlas, Merritt McKinney, and Jack Wilder—remain in hiding. They are waiting for new instructions from The Eye, a covert society that recruited them.

Feeling frustrated with the prolonged inactivity, Atlas embarks on a journey to find The Eye. His search leads him into an underground tunnel, where he hears a voice suggesting that new orders are imminent.

FBI agent Dylan Rhodes assigns the Horsemen a new mission: to expose Owen Case, a businessman whose software illegally harvests personal user data. They also welcome Lula May to their team, replacing the departed Henley Reeves.

During a high-stakes launch party for Case's software, the Horsemen initiate their elaborate plan. Just as they are about to execute it, a mysterious figure reveals that Jack Wilder, presumed dead, is actually alive, causing chaos.

The revelation of Wilder's survival and Rhodes being an insider forces him to flee the scene. The Horsemen make a daring escape through an emergency tube, which unexpectedly takes them to Macau.

Upon arriving in Macau, the Horsemen are captured by mercenaries and brought before Chase McKinney, Merritt's twin brother. This unexpected encounter complicates their already precarious situation.

The Horsemen find themselves under the control of Walter Mabry, a tech genius who faked his own death. He coerces them into stealing a powerful data-mining device from Case, claiming it will be handed to The Eye.

Meanwhile, Rhodes orchestrates a daring jailbreak to free Thaddeus Bradley, seeking his expertise against those who wronged him. During this time, Rhodes discovers the truth about his father's demise, complicating his motives.

As the Horsemen infiltrate the facility to steal the chip, Atlas faces Mabry in a shocking confrontation. He realizes that Mabry has been manipulating them from the start, raising stakes for the heist.

After Atlas's confrontation, Rhodes is captured and taken aboard a yacht. Under duress, he learns that Mabry is working for Arthur Tressler, who blames Rhodes for his family's loss.

Tressler places Rhodes inside a replica of the iron safe that once trapped his father, leaving him to drown. Miraculously, Rhodes manages to escape just in time, escalating the conflict between them.

After successfully stealing the chip, the Horsemen discover that it is a counterfeit. In a twist, Rhodes and the Horsemen announce a live performance in London to attract Mabry and Tressler into their trap.

The Horsemen perform an astonishing series of tricks that are broadcast live across London. This daring act leads to their capture, but it is all part of a ruse set up to reveal their true criminal actions.

The Horsemen and their captors are bewildered to discover they are still on the ground, ensnared in a cleverly constructed scheme. This results in the arrest of Mabry, Tressler, and Chase by the FBI.

The Horsemen, along with Rhodes, are guided to a secret library where they reunite with Bradley. He reveals his significant role in The Eye and proposes that Rhodes fulfills a successor role within their secretive organization.
