Dev quickly earns the respect of the head chef and the rest of the team by discreetly enhancing dishes with his stealthy additions. His talent is subtle but undeniable, improving flavors and the overall dining experience. Tara and Rajesh notice his skill and the head chef begins to rely on him.

Dev and Tara head to the restaurant's cold store for ingredients. To keep the door from closing, they wedge it shut, but the wedge is accidentally removed and the door locks them inside. They quickly begin to suffer from the cold as fear and isolation set in.

Dev triggers the emergency mechanism and the door finally opens, letting them out. He pulls Tara to safety, finding her unconscious after the ordeal. Back in the kitchen, he prepares hot soup to provide immediate relief and warmth.
