Earlier, Ravi urges Kannan to marry soon, highlighting the social importance placed on his marriage, which makes the prank's impact more devastating.

On Gopalan's instructions, Kannan's friends hid weapons in Vidhyadharan's textile shop with help from some party workers. They then alerted the police about the weapons. When police found the weapons, Vidhyadharan was arrested. However, police soon realized the political plot behind it and released him.

The rivalry between Kannan's group and Vidhyadharan's circle escalates after the wedding prank incident, setting up this retaliatory frame-up.

Yamuna is a Kannadathi (woman from Karnataka) who cannot speak Malayalam. Vidhyadharan can speak Kannada, which allows them to communicate easily. This language compatibility makes Vidhyadharan approachable for Yamuna, causing friction with Kannan who feels irritated by their growing friendship.

The language barrier between Kannan and Yamuna is established right after their wedding when they return home and cannot understand each other.

Vidhyadharan is in love with Haritha, Kannan's sister. During a confrontation, Vidhyadharan's mother reveals her son loves a girl from the area. Kannan initially suspects it might be Yamuna, but the truth is that Vidhyadharan loves Haritha, not his wife.

The tension between Kannan and Vidhyadharan throughout the movie takes on new meaning once this revelation clarifies the underlying romantic motivation.

After the wedding cancellation, Sudhakaran, the local political party secretary, vows to find Kannan a wife within two weeks. When Vidhyadharan's allies block proposals in Kadambery, RC, a party worker from Coorg, arranges a match through senior party member Gopalan. Kannan travels to Coorg and marries Yamuna the next day.

The two-week deadline set by Sudhakaran creates urgency, pushing the characters toward the Coorg match.

The weapons were planted in Vidhyadharan's shop as part of a political scheme orchestrated by Gopalan. After police found and seized the weapons, Vidhyadharan was arrested. However, authorities soon uncovered the political motivation behind the frame-up and released him. Later, Kannan's friends beat Vidhyadharan and demand he leave the area.

The rivalry between Kannan's allies and Vidhyadharan's group escalates from social conflict to physical confrontation following this incident.

The movie ends with reconciliation between all characters. Kannan and Vidhyadharan mend their fences, resolving their long-standing rivalry. Most importantly, Yamuna begins speaking Malayalam, which bridges the language barrier that initially caused tension in their marriage. The film closes on a happy note with repaired relationships.

The mistaken identity about Vidhyadharan's love interest (thinking it was Yamuna when it was actually Haritha) creates the turning point that leads to resolution.
