When Siddharth infiltrates police headquarters in Kolkata and kills the DGP of West Bengal, the CBI officer wrongly interprets this crime as Cherry's doing. Because the two men are identical lookalikes, the officer mistakes Cherry for the fugitive Siddharth, setting off a chain of mistaken blame and high-stakes pursuit.

After excelling at Delhi IIT and returning to Kolkata to live with his sister and fiancé Nandini, Siddharth witnesses Rawat's second brother Badvel manipulating vulnerable youths. When police fail to intervene in a case involving a minor, Siddharth takes matters into his own hands, killing Badvel and his men. This act transforms him into a public sensation and launches his path of vengeance against Rawat's criminal network.

After learning about Siddharth's backstory and true motivations, Cherry decides to help clear his name because he understands Siddharth is actually a righteous fighter against injustice, not a criminal. Cherry proposes a courtroom plan to prove Siddharth's innocence, and the two men work together to expose Rawat's crimes.

In the final confrontation, Rawat tries to have Siddharth killed by ordering the abduction of schoolchildren as bait. Cherry arrives at Rawat's location ahead of Siddharth and is brutally attacked. Siddharth arrives just in time to save Cherry, and Rawat is killed by a bomb during the confrontation. The case then collapses under circumstantial evidence, leading to Siddharth's acquittal.

The CBI officer, aided by Jilebi, corners Cherry at the Kumbh Mela while Rawat is engaged in holy rituals nearby. The officer captures Cherry, but Siddharth appears and stabs Rawat with a trishula. The officer then uses a taser to arrest Siddharth and releases Cherry, dramatically flipping who is hunter and who is hunted.

Jilebi is Cherry's eccentric uncle and the CEO of CgTrix where Cherry works as a software engineer. His actions provoke the wrath of gangster Babji, forcing Cherry to step in and protect him. Jilebi also helps the CBI officer track down Cherry at Kumbh Mela, playing a crucial role in the mistaken identity plot.

Cherry meets Madhu when Jilebi pursues Babji's sister, which draws Cherry into protecting both his uncle and Madhu from Babji's gang. Cherry rescues Madhu's family from trafficker Dassu, earning her gratitude and affection. Their relationship develops as Cherry becomes involved in the larger conflict against the city's criminals.

Siddharth returns to Kolkata to live with his sister, her husband (the family doctor), and his fiancé Nandini. After Siddharth becomes a fugitive and goes into hiding, Nandini's fate is left uncertain in the narrative. The film focuses more on Cherry's romance with Madhu rather than resolving Siddharth's relationship with Nandini.

Cherry earns the city's gratitude by rescuing children from a trafficking ring led by Dassu, a notorious don who dominates parts of Hyderabad. This act of courage exposes Cherry to powerful enemies while establishing him as a hero, but also draws him deeper into the conflict with Rawat's criminal network.

After Siddharth kills Badvel and is presumed dead (stabbed and cast into the Ganges), Rawat rises rapidly in politics, becoming a Central Minister within just a week. This political ascent fuels Siddharth's determination to return and strike back against Rawat, setting up the final confrontation.
