Karimbhootham, a cruel black magician, binds Kuttichathan with dark magic to force the goblin into his service. He uses the spirit's supernatural powers to carry out his bidding, particularly to locate a hidden treasure that the magician desperately seeks. The magical binding keeps Kuttichathan invisible and under the magician's complete control until the children break the spell.
