Mr. Bean's Vacation

Mr. Bean participates in a raffle, but there's a misunderstanding when his ticket number 616 is misread as 919. Frightened by the confusion, he haphazardly tosses his ticket into a toy train cart, unaware of the thrilling journey that awaits him.

After retrieving his ticket, Mr. Bean is elated to claim his grand prize: a journey to Cannes, a Sony video camera, and EUR200. He excitedly begins filming his travels, eager to capture the adventure ahead.

Upon arriving at Gare Du Nord in Paris, Mr. Bean experiences a taxi miscommunication and is forced to walk to Gare de Lyon. Determined to reach Cannes, he makes the most of the time by stopping for a meal.

At the lavish Le Train Bleu restaurant, Mr. Bean's lack of French leads to a humorous ordering mistake involving seafood. He struggles with oysters and comically disposes of them in a lady's handbag, creating a scene upon her surprise.

On the train platform, Mr. Bean encounters Emil Dachevsky, a Cannes Film Festival jury member. Dachevsky documents Mr. Bean's dramatic entrance as a comedic exchange unfolds, though their reunion becomes chaotic when Mr. Bean accidentally leaves his bag behind.

In the hustle to board the train, Mr. Bean loses his bag containing his ticket and passport filled with cash. This big loss leads to a series of unfortunate events that alter his travel plans to Cannes.

Desperate to make money, Mr. Bean performs a mime show to Puccini's 'O Mio Babbino Caro.' Surprisingly, he draws a crowd, enabling him to buy a bus ticket to Cannes, albeit with comedic interruptions as a breeze takes the ticket away.

In a comical twist, Mr. Bean steals a bike to chase after his ticket. His adventure is short-lived as the bike gets flattened by a tank, leading to more absurd misadventures on his path to Cannes.

Mr. Bean accidentally crashes a live TV advertisement set, causing chaos and injuring the director, Carson Clay. This incident highlights Bean's knack for attracting trouble, further complicating his Cannes journey.

After the TV mishap, Mr. Bean unexpectedly gets a ride from actress Sabine, who had witnessed earlier events. Their journey takes a turn when a news report falsely portrays Bean as a kidnapper, adding comedic tension to their travel.

To dodge capture, Bean disguises himself humorously as Sabine’s mother while Stepan pretends to be her daughter. Their clever ruse allows them to pass security and enter the film premiere just in the nick of time.

At the Cannes premiere, the audience is treated to Carson Clay’s self-indulgent movie, 'Playback Time,' which turns out to be painfully dull. Sabine confides in Mr. Bean about a missing scene, leading to an unexpected solution.

Using his camera, Mr. Bean showcases Sabine's past footage that cleverly aligns with the narrative of the movie. This spontaneous act delights the audience, turning the screening into a success and earning a standing ovation.
