Mother, May I Sleep with Danger?

Erin ends her relationship with Billy after a kiss with their mutual friend Kevin. She decides to pursue Kevin, severing ties with Billy and reshaping the group’s dynamics.

Enraged by the breakup, Billy ambushes Erin and bludgeons her to death. He then hides the crime, attempting to keep Erin's death a secret.

Several weeks later, Laurel starts a relationship with Billy, who is claiming to be Kevin. Laurel is drawn to his intense affection, even as she remains unaware of his true identity.

On the lake, Laurel distracts Billy by feigning alliance, then knocks him into the water with an oar. Billy vanishes beneath the surface as Jessica and Laurel reach safety.

In the aftermath, a young woman resembling Erin and Laurel eagerly plans with a new boyfriend, Preston. Preston is revealed to be Billy under another identity, suggesting the cycle could begin again.
