The next morning, a traveling peddler named Papa Otto Schultz crosses their path, and Morgan uses him to blend in as a partner so they can root out the real troublemakers. They ride into town under the guise of commerce, and Morgan’s presence is met with suspicion by the locals, especially the tough, quick-to-draw Slim Reeves. A pistol duel follows, with Slim attempting to cheat by drawing before the count of three.
