The film opens with Sushant Dubey arriving at a Mauritius resort with his wife Aparna and their 3-year-old daughter Titli. He persuades the receptionist to upgrade their room to a double, and they settle in for their stay. Later that evening, Sushant and Aparna share an intimate moment in their new room.

A man in the room below is shown creeping about and peering into rooms, casting a shadow over the resort. His suspicious behavior unsettles guests and staff alike. The threat he embodies foreshadows trouble surrounding Titli’s safety.

Titli goes missing in the middle of the night, triggering panic and frantic searching. The resort erupts into activity as suspicion concentrates on the enigmatic neighbor and the surrounding corridors. Aparna is overwhelmed as the search yields no immediate clues.

It is revealed that Sushant and Aparna are not married and only had an affair at the resort after meeting on the ferry to Mauritius. They decide to spend the next few days together despite the lack of formal commitment. This revelation complicates how others perceive them and heightens the stakes of Titli’s disappearance.

The resort manager resists police involvement to avoid scrutiny and potential reputational damage. Aparna hopes to keep things discreet, while Sushant fears public scandal. Their efforts to find Titli are hampered by a desire to shield the resort from bad press.

Police inspector Buddhu starts an official investigation, interviewing guests and reviewing footage. CCTV initially points toward the creepy neighbor, who is later implicated in a separate matter. The investigation starts to disrupt the resort’s routine and credibility.

A sketch artist produces two portraits based on Aparna’s and Sushant’s descriptions, and the drawings are completely different. The discrepancy fuels doubt about who really saw Titli and what the truth might be. Tension mounts as trust erodes between the characters.

Under intense grilling, Sushant reveals that Aparna could not bear children and hints that Titli may be a figment of Aparna’s imagination. He admits their affair and that he did not actually see Titli’s face. This deepens the mystery of Titli’s existence.

In a tense moment, Sushant claims he kidnapped Titli at the behest of a friend who is Aparna’s ex-husband, prompting them to consider fleeing with heavy luggage. The plan feels reckless and dangerous, and it fuels suspicion as they make a sudden move toward the forest.

As they run through the forest, Aparna stops to ask for Titli while Sushant claims he did not know or kidnapping Titli. Aparna then indicates that Titli does exist in some form, and the ambiguity of Titli’s identity fuels a growing sense of dread. The truth about Titli remains unsettled.

An old man arrives at the resort asking after his daughter Titli and reveals a photograph. Buddhu is puzzled as the man explains that Titli is Aparna, a dangerous mental patient who escaped from an asylum. The revelation reframes the entire sequence of events and casts doubt on everyone’s statements.

With the truth that Titli is Aparna and that she is a disturbed patient, the deranged Titli figure attacks and kills Sushant with a meat cleaver in the forest. The ending leaves a chilling impression as the forest becomes the scene of a brutal tragedy. The characters’ fates hang in the air, unresolved in many respects.
