Meet the Parents

Greg Focker, a dedicated Jewish American nurse, plans to propose to his girlfriend Pam during her sister's wedding. He hopes to win over her father's approval at this important family gathering in Long Island.

Upon arriving in Long Island, Greg discovers that the airline has lost his luggage. This is a significant setback as it contains the engagement ring he intended to present to Pam.

Greg meets Pam's parents, Jack and Dina, along with their beloved cat, Jinx. Jack initially appears friendly but quickly reveals his skepticism about Greg's profession as a nurse.

In an effort to impress Jack, Greg gifts him a rare flower, hoping to win his approval. Unfortunately, Jack does not recognize the flower, leading to an awkward moment.
