Man on Fire

Former CIA officer John W. Creasy arrives in Mexico with the hope of reconnecting with his old friend Paul Rayburn. He is initially troubled by his past and struggles with alcoholism as he looks to find purpose in his new surroundings.

Paul Rayburn persuades John to take a job as a bodyguard for Samuel Ramos, a wealthy automaker. The decision is spurred by a disturbing rise in kidnapping incidents, as Samuel's young daughter, Pita, becomes a potential target.

Lisa Ramos reluctantly selects John as her daughter’s bodyguard after dismissing five other candidates. She believes that John’s own struggles may resonate with her daughter and provide an added layer of protection.

Initially distant and haunted by his past, John begins to forge a bond with Pita, especially when he learns of her passion for swimming. He coaches her through her fears, leading to a triumphant moment when she wins a swim meet.

During his recovery, John encounters reporter Mariana Garcia Guerrero, who offers her assistance to expose the kidnappers' links to local law enforcement. Together, they aim to unravel the corruption plaguing Pita’s case.

A planned ransom drop set up by the Federal Police turns chaotic as rival gangsters ambush the kidnappers. The loss of family members enrages 'The Voice,' the kidnappers' leader, escalating the violence and threats against John and Lisa.

Fueled by rage and desperation, John sets out to dismantle the kidnapping ring. He begins interrogating and eliminating key players, uncovering a web of deceit that ultimately involves Samuel's own betrayal.
