Joydev declares the sacrifice his right and completes it using a sword, despite the priestess' objections. The act binds the family to the haunted tree behind the house and seeds a long shadow over Chandrapur.

Ambika and her husband Shubankar raise their daughter Shweta in Kolkata and enjoy a peaceful life. It is revealed that Shubankar is the son of the sacrificed twin, a truth he contemplates revealing to Shweta. The shadow of Chandrapur and the past haunts their present.

Joydev, now elderly and village sarpanch, informs Shubankar that his paternal grandfather has died, pulling the past back into the present. Shubankar travels to Chandrapur to attend the cremation and manage the family estate, revealing his plan to sell the property.

On the journey back from Chandrapur, Shubankar dies in a fire that engulfs his car after a splinter from the haunted tree lodges in his shoe. The accident carries an air of supernatural cause, tying the tragedy to the family curse.

Grief drives Ambika and Shweta to Chandrapur to finalize the sale of the estate. The looming presence of the past and the haunted tree begin to reveal themselves as unexplained events unfold.

Shweta forms a friendship with Deepika, the caretaker's daughter, and insists on visiting the tree alleged to host the daitya. Deepika initially resists but joins the excursion despite warnings from villagers. The visit deepens the town's rumors about a malevolent force.

Following the tree visit, several village girls disappear after their first menstruation but later reappear unharmed. The pattern unsettles Ambika and the village, and the mystery points to the ancient curse tied to the tree. Ambika grows more determined to uncover the truth.

Ambika teams with police officer Sarfaraz to investigate, while doctors note the girls have not been harmed and inexplicably stop menstruating. A manuscript passed from the old servant explains the blood daitya Aamsaja and the ritual linked to Kali Puja. The town realizes the demon may be after Shweta.

Ambika and Sarfaraz uncover that Joydev is the human embodiment of the daitya Aamsaja. The demon seeks Shweta to procreate, and Joydev's crimes escalate as the truth becomes undeniable.

Ambika dreams of Goddess Kali and, during a ritual Kali Puja in the locked temple, channels Kali's wrath. She undergoes a spiritual transformation into a fierce protector, battling the demon within Joydev.

An old priestess explains that Ambika has passed Goddess Kali's test and reveals the truth about Shweta carrying the demon's child. The temple doors unlock, confirming the ritual's resolution and that the threat is abated.

In the final scene, Vanraj walks through the ashy remains of the forest, seemingly absorbing the remnants of Aamsaja's powers. The quiet image hints at a lingering shadow from the ancestral curse.
