Nandan Kumar repairs machines at a printing press and rejects the idea of destiny. He lives with his taunting wife Lata and their son Ayush, in a crowded chawl, where financial pressures strain every conversation. Despite their dreams, the family struggles to reconcile reality with aspiration.

MLA Patil aims to transfer 100 million rupees and a file exposing embezzlement to another minister. He blackmails local gangster Omar to carry out the job, and the money is placed in a conspicuous red suitcase. This move sets in motion a dangerous chain of events.

Omar's men are ambushed by Bala Rathore's goons during the transfer. Patil's men hide the suitcase at the scene, hoping to come back for it later. The money changes hands only in a moment of chaos.

Nandan stumbles upon the suitcase, finds it full of cash, and decides to take it home. Knowing his neighbor is away, he hides the suitcase in the neighbor's house to avoid immediate suspicion.

Realizing the suitcase is missing, Bala and Patil deploy their men to recover it at any cost. Patil also blackmails policeman Kolte to help retrieve the missing cash and file.

Kolte and his informant Faizu start gathering information about the shootout, but nearby CCTV cameras are nonfunctional, hindering clues. The search puts pressure on both the criminals and the police.

Nandan spends some cash to provide for his family without openly admitting the windfall. He covertly hides portions of the money around the house and keeps one packet in his office drawer, trying to keep the stash hidden from neighbors and Lata.

One CCTV camera becomes operational, allowing Kolte to see Nandan leaving the scene in an auto-rickshaw. The evidence tightens around Nandan as suspicion grows.

Nandan tries to spend the money by purchasing a luxurious apartment, only to discover that cash payments are not accepted. The rejection underscores how exposed his secret windfall has become.

Kolte tracks down Nandan at his home using the debit card clue. He arrives with Lata, who discovers the hidden suitcase in the kitchen. Kolte holds the family at gunpoint and demands the money; Nandan hands it over to avoid violence.

Kolte forces Nandan to accompany him to the office to retrieve the packet. En route, Bala's men ambush them in a deadly skirmish, and Kolte fights to survive. During the chaos, he uncovers Patil's file and realizes its leverage against the minister.

Kolte directs Nandan toward a secret warehouse to hand over the remaining packet. Bala and Omar's forces lie in wait and ambush the warehouse; a fierce shootout leaves Nandan as the sole survivor.

Despite surviving the warehouse ambush, Nandan's greed flares up and he tries to seize more money. He grabs cash but leaves the important file behind, not learning from the earlier peril.

The contents of Patil's file are leaked to the public, dooming his political career. He retires to his village, where he is soon murdered by Omar's men, bringing a grim end to the corruption case.
