Vijay Das is a London-based, career-driven businessman who trusts his brain to steer decisions, while Pavithra, the daughter of his mentor C. S. Meanwhile, the plans for Vijay’s marriage to Pavithra are pushed along by [C. S. Nambiar] and [Francis Pallipadan] as they press for a match that suits wealth and status more than personal tenderness. Vijay, however, resists being coerced into a union he doesn’t fully want. Gracy’s husband, Thampikuttychayan, volunteers to travel to India to check on the situation, while Vijay insists on going himself, proving that his feelings have shifted from detached pragmatism to a genuine desire to be part of Merin’s life. In India, Vijay travels by taxi to Merin’s home after a message from Francis directs him to the right address. When Vijay finds Merin in a quiet, desolate room, Pavithra calls with a pivotal confession—Merin had orchestrated the ruse to awaken Vijay’s love, a revelation that reframes the entire arc of the relationship.
