Family is depicted as the source of all evil, echoing The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s gore and Hammer’s moody dread. After a savage massacre leaves only Chiyo and her granddaughter Yuki alive, they take shelter with distant relatives. Their wheelchair‑bound son foresees a dire fate; when the house is empty he endures increasingly sadistic games at the women’s mercy, turning his life into a living hell.
