Little John

The film opens with a mythic origin: Parvathi, dancing with Shiva, drops her nose stud on Earth, and the Mookuththi Amman temple is raised in Tamil Nadu. The nose stud is believed to hold great powers, and Kalabhairavan waits a thousand years to capture it.

John McKenzie, an American student from Pittsburgh, travels to India to study the temple and stays with his friend Vasu's family. He is warmly welcomed but remains skeptical of the legends until he begins his temple visit.

At the temple, Swami Paramananda explains the legend of the Mookuthi and the leaf that could guide its protector. He notes that the leaf is visible only to him, which deepens John's doubt about the truth of the story.

John's feelings for Vani, Vasu's sister, grow, which causes friction with Vasu's parents. The romance complicates the mission to safeguard the relic.

Kalabhairavan awakens and uses hypnosis to seize the Mookuthi through a faithful servant. The theft triggers a crisis as the relic's powers begin to surface.

The Mookuthi hides within the temple, retreating to a snake hill to avoid capture. John is wrongly accused of stealing it and is arrested.

John is arrested despite Swamiji's insistence that he did not steal the relic. Swamiji pleads his case as the investigation unfolds.

John escapes custody with Swamiji's attempt to render him invisible, but he instead shrinks to a tiny size. The change complicates the chase and the mission to recover the relic.

Swamiji is arrested on charges of concealing a criminal while helping John. The barrier between friend and adversary blurs as the stakes rise.

With Vani's help, they go to the police station, where Swamiji warns that the Mookuththi must be restored by sunset or John will stay tiny forever. The clock ticks as the plan moves toward action.

John retrieves the Mookuththi from the snake hill, overcoming obstacles and proving his commitment to the mission. This act marks a turning point in the struggle between evil and divine forces.

A final struggle between Kalabhairavan and divine forces culminates in the Mookuthi being placed back in Amman's nose, destroying the evil. The balance of power shifts back to the temple, and peace begins to return.

John regains his normal size and reunites with Vani, closing the romance and bringing peace to the temple. He accepts the legends and the guiding leaf's message, and they look forward to a future together.
