Last Straw

Nancy Osborne is promoted to manager of the diner owned by her father, Edward. This promotion marks a turning point in her responsibilities, as her father expresses his intentions to remarry, placing the diner in her hands.

While working, Nancy experiences extreme nausea and vomits at the sight of leftover food. Chef Jake Colins suspects her pregnancy, which is later confirmed, leading to erratic behavior from Nancy that affects her relationship with the staff.

In a fit of rage, Nancy fires Jake, the diner’s only chef, after he expresses concern about her condition. This impulsive decision angers her father, who scolds her for the lack of consideration for the diner’s operations.

Despite her desire to close early, Nancy decides to work throughout the night to keep the diner running and pay the bills. This decision inadvertently sets the stage for the dangers that will soon unfold.

Nancy and a co-worker, Bobby, are captured by the attackers within the diner. Their predicament turns grim as they are tortured by the masked men, creating a life-threatening situation.

In a moment of desperation, Nancy manages to break free and stabs one of her captors, Peter, realizing that she must fight for her life and the life of her unborn child. This act of courage becomes pivotal in her fight for survival.

After being fired, Jake succumbs to his drug addiction and seeks revenge on the teenagers he blames for Nancy's outburst. His violent actions culminate in the death of several teenagers, spiraling into a cycle of destruction.

In a paranoid frenzy, Jake kills a police officer who responds to a call about the diner incident, solidifying his status as a murderer. This act draws Nancy deeper into the chaos and danger surrounding her.

Bobby slowly understands the gravity of the situation unfolding around him, and his initial plans of pranking Nancy quickly dissolve into fear. He recognizes that his involvement could lead to dire consequences and decides to withdraw.

Amidst the chaotic events, Peter succumbs to his injuries in Jake's arms, leaving him devastated. The loss of his brother intensifies Jake's rampage and adds to the horror of the situation.

Jake, driven by paranoia, kills both Bobby and Peter out of fear that they might reveal his true nature to the police. This moment marks a point of no return for Jake, sinking him deeper into madness.

After surviving a horrific attack and upon seeing Bobby's corpse, Nancy desperately sends a distress call to her friend Tabitha. However, Tabitha is overwhelmed by terror and flees, leaving Nancy feeling utterly alone.

In a fierce confrontation, Nancy fights back against Jake, ultimately leading to her stabbing. Though he believes he has killed her, Nancy's resourcefulness saves her life as she hides the truth about her pregnancy.

Nancy manages to confront Jake again and kills him, but collapses from her injuries afterward. Edward, distraught from the chaos, rushes to her aid and calls for an ambulance, hoping to save his daughter.
