Escape Room

The film opens with a recap of the previous movie, where six strangers were trapped in an escape room run by Minos. Sole survivors Zoey and Ben escape after killing the Game Master, planning to expose Minos's operations in Manhattan. Their victory sets the stage for their ongoing battle against the organization.

Zoey is in therapy, haunted by the traumatic events of the previous escape room, while Ben struggles with nightmares and guilt. Despite her fears, Zoey convinces Ben to drive to Manhattan to continue their mission of exposing Minos, pushing past their trauma.

Zoey and Ben arrive in Manhattan, standing in an apparently empty alley that was crowded just days earlier. A junkie steals Zoey's necklace, prompting them to chase him into the subway. This marks the beginning of their new minos game.

Zoey and Ben are chased into a subway car where they become trapped with four strangers—Rachel, Brianna, Nate, and Theo. They realize this is another Minos game designed to test their survival skills within a metal, electrified car in a tunnel.

The group uncovers a message that needs decoding to escape, discovering the phrase 'WELCOME BACK.' Each letter decoded sparks electricity in the car, culminating in Theo's electrocution. Zoey figures out the message and helps the group escape through a hatch.

After escaping the train, the group arrives in an underground bank with laser-triggered tiles. They have ten minutes to solve riddles and navigate through the deadly room. Nate tries to sacrifice himself for the group, providing critical clues along the way.

The survivors move onto a beach-themed room with sand swallowing objects. Nate bravely dives in to save Rachel but is pulled under and dies. The group finds a passage through a crab shack fridge and a lighthouse, continuing their escape efforts.

The final challenge takes place in an outdoor setting where acid rain begins to pour after a countdown. Zoey, Rachel, and Brianna seek shelter, with Zoey escaping to safety while Brianna and Rachel fall victim to the deadly rain, burning in a phone booth and nearby cab respectively.

Zoey finds herself in a child's bedroom and encounters Amanda, who reveals she is alive and involved in the game. Amanda confesses Minos kidnapped her daughter and explains her role in designing the deadly puzzles, revealing deeper Minos secrets.

Zoey refuses to become the new puzzle creator and helps Ben escape from a water-filled room with Amanda’s aid. The authorities arrest Minos operatives, and Zoey learns they are tracking Sonya, Minos’s kidnapped daughter. They believe their ordeal is over, and Zoey plans to fly home.

On the flight home, Zoey becomes suspicious when she notices a woman resembling her therapist but with new clues in her belongings. A voice over the intercom reveals Minos is in control of the plane, indicating the game has not truly ended.
