News reaches Don Vito that Rome is holding a martial arts contest for the traffic policeman post. The prospect gives Franco a concrete goal to pursue. This sets the plan in motion.

Following his teacher's suggestion, Franco travels to Rome to train in Kon-Chi-Lai's gym. He arrives in a city full of rivals and opportunities. He begins training to prepare for the upcoming competition.

Franco is hosted at Kekkor Nuto's inn, where he meets and falls for the innkeeper's daughter Unci Vuncia. The romance adds emotional stakes to his ambitious plan. The inn becomes a base for both training and distractions.

Lho-Kon-Tè's school sends its henchmen to Rome to secure Attila's victory. Franco and Kon-Chi-Lai's men brace for the looming showdown. The rivals' presence raises the stakes for the upcoming contest.

The Milan trio Ki Kaka Mai, Tutti Li Tui and Va A Fan defeat Kon-Chi-Lai's men, forcing Franco to flee in fear. The humiliation wounds his pride but steels his resolve for revenge. He resolves to return stronger rather than admit defeat.

After the humiliation, Franco returns to Kon-Chi-Lai and receives training on a new technique called the Travertine Hand. The sessions are grueling and carry a hint of tragi-comic struggle. Franco begins to believe he might master the technique.

Following the training, Franco seems to have learned the Travertine Hand when he appears to blow up a house with a single shot. Lho-Kon-Tè tries to bribe Franco to throw the contest, but Franco refuses. To coerce him further, Lho-Kon-Tè sends Cavalier Strozzi, a debt-collecting shop manager, to corner Franco. The debt becomes a new obstacle that could derail his chance at victory.

Strozzi bites the hand Franco uses for his special technique, rendering it unusable. The injury compounds Franco's woes and threatens the viability of his hard-won training. He must scramble to adapt with his damaged hand.

On tournament day Attila dominates Kon-Chi-Lai's students, appearing certain to win. Encouraged by Unci, Franco relies on the Travertine Hand and defeats Attila with a flurry of headbuttons, taking the victory. The win secures his future as a traffic policeman and validates his training.

Furious at the loss, Lho-Kon-Tè sends three killers to avenge Attila. Franco confronts and overpowers them in a climactic confrontation. The immediate threat is neutralized, but the feud lingers in the air.

A final scheme attempts to force Franco into a marriage with Don Vito's ugly daughter. Kekkor intervenes, and the plan collapses, allowing Franco to remain with Unci. The obstruction is removed and peace is restored to his personal life.

Franco marries Unci and achieves his goal of becoming a traffic policeman in Rome. His journey from an insecure imitator to a celebrated local figure is complete. The film closes on a note of personal and professional fulfillment.
