Kraken: Tentacles of the Deep

Ray wants to join because he has a personal vendetta against the kraken. As a child, he witnessed the creature attack and kill his parents on their boat, leaving him as the sole survivor. This traumatic event drove him to become a sea creature hobbyist, and when he learns about Nicole's expedition in the same area where his parents died, he sees an opportunity for both vengeance and closure.
