Konga TNT

An alien ship crashes in the Amazon rainforest, and a local tribe seizes the ship's power source. General Mills dispatches Skipper Smith and his assistant Marion Kind to recover it. Peggy, the tribe's queen, wears the power source as an amulet.

The artifact is brought to Professor Mills, the General's twin brother. He dubs the substance KTNT and begins experiments to splice its DNA with plant material, though the results are poor. The science sets the stage for a dangerous evolution of KTNT.

Mills conducts an initial test of KTNT on a monkey. The creature fights fiercely and ultimately ingests KTNT in pill form, hinting at its dangerous potential.

Two terrorists break into Mills' facility to sabotage the research. Mills releases the monkey to safeguard the work, but the assailants shoot him before he can stop them.

The monkey escapes to the suburbs and rests in a shed as authorities start a manhunt. The creature begins to grow, setting the stage for a city-wide threat.

General Mills is informed of his twin Mills's death and the theft of the alien technology. He orders a city-wide search for the escaped subject and recalls retired Major Bummier back into field duty.

Two boys, Chance and Grayson, discover the monkey after it eats their snacks. They name him Konga and decide to keep his existence secret from their mother.

Major Bummier begins a door-to-door hunt for the escaped ape. Meanwhile the boys continue playing with Konga in their backyard, and the creature grows larger and more powerful.

Konga reaches gigantic size and bursts through the roof of a farmer's barn. The rampage signals a widening threat to nearby towns.

In a bedroom, Konga spots a beautiful blonde and abducts her so he can give her a kiss on the head. The scene shows his unsettling blend of curiosity and danger.

Konga terrifies the city, moving from Jackson Park to downtown as he topples structures. A passing airliner is snatched from the sky by the giant ape, escalating the crisis.

Chance dresses as a hot dog to lure Konga away, but tanks and fighter jets from the military still attack the creature. The siege highlights the limits of conventional force against a giant ape.

Back at Mills' lab, KTNT stops affecting Konga as his body rejects it, causing him to shrink back to his original size. Mills, who narrowly survives the ordeal, explains the science of the transformation to his brother.

A subsequent KTNT dose enables Konga to survive a gunshot. The cliffhanger implies the creature could still be dangerous or potentially recover.

In a post-credits moment, Chance and Grayson discover a large egg lying in the woods, hinting at the possibility of a new creature emerging.
