Marisol is torn between her aggressive cousin, Mauro, and her passionate but detached lover, Mundo. Their lives are shadowed by violence in their rural Mexican town, where gangs and guerilla fighters are a constant threat. When Mundo is forced to leave, Marisol finds herself held captive by her cousin, and their connection evolves into a digital one, relying on sporadic texts, voicemails, and videos. Despite the distance and frustration, their longing remains intense. Mundo’s eventual return raises the stakes for Marisol, leading to a confrontation where desire and desperation may ultimately offer a surprising advantage.
